Every app has a name: it tells people which tools they are logging into.
app.ts
name is required. The app refuses to start with an empty one (spaces around it are trimmed).

Where it shows

  • On the login page, above the form.
  • On the left of the header, next to the environment badge when there is one.
  • In the browser tab, as Internal tools or, with an environment, Internal tools (Production).
The login page loads it from GET /api/app, which answers without a session; the name is the only thing about the project shown before logging in, together with the current environment’s badge.
